The mother of Apalachee High School shooter Colt Gray, Marcee, was arrested in 2023 in Georgia on a slew of charges including vehicle theft and drug trafficking.
Records show Marcee Gray (neé Polhamus) was arrested on November 6th that year for possession of methamphetamine, sale, distribution, or possession of dangerous drugs, concealing identity of a vehicle, and other charges.
Marcee left her husband, Corey Gray after a fourteen-year marriage alleging she had been abused the whole time. According to her sister, Annie Polhamus Brown, Marcee was a drug addict who stole from everyone who loved her to sustain her habit.

All these records were revealed in numerous social media posts following the tragic school shooting in Winder GA that killed four and injured nine.

Colt, 14, shot up the Apalachee High School in Winder, Georgia Wednesday, September 4th. Four people – two students and two teachers – were killed and nine others, mainly students, were injured.
He has been charged with four counts of felony murder and is being held at the Gainesville Regional Youth Detention Center.
Following the shooting, it emerged that Colt had been flagged by the FBI a year ago over posts threatening to shoot up a school. Authorities interviewed him and his parents and determined there was no probable cause for arrest.

Another bit of info about Marcee Gray reveals she left her husband after suffering 14 years of domestic abuse. She had previously justified staying with her husband due to making a commitment to God and feeling she was the only one who could help him.

According to LinkedIn, Marcee Gray attended Georgia Southern University for a Bachelor of Science and Technology in Industrial Management and Columbia Southern University for a Master of Science in Occuptional Safety and Health. Her last listed profession was as a Senior Quality Engineer for PCC Airfoils.
According to her sister, Annie Polhamus Brown, Marcee had a substance abuse problem and stole from her family to sustain her habit.
